Paper Title - Feature Extraction And Classification Of Audio Signal Using Local Discriminant Bases


Abstract
Audio signal feature extraction and classification plays an important role in a wide variety of applications. Local discriminant bases (LDB) is one of the method used for feature extraction and classification of audio signal. In this paper, the multigroup classification of audio signal using LDB has been explained. The LDB algorithm uses dissimilarity measures for classification. The paper basically gives the different application were audio signal feature extraction and classification can be used and the methodology that is, LDB algorithm used for this classification. It also compares the two techniques MFCC and LDB which are used for classification of the audio signal and also explains how their combination works well for the proposed work. Keywords—Audio classification, Feature Extraction, Local discriminant bases(LDB), Dissimilarity measures, Wavelet packet.
