Paper Title
Non-Linear Predictive Terminal Sliding Mode Control based Cascade Control for Interconnected System
Abstract
In this paper, a predictive structure along with terminal sliding mode control has been proposed to improve
system performance and robustness by reducing the effect of uncertainty in model parameters such as varying time delay and
varying time constant of the system. The proposed structure has two controllers in primary loop and one controller in
secondary loop. The primary controller is designed with smith predictor based sliding mode control to eliminate the effect of
parameter uncertainty. The secondary controller is designed with non singular terminal sliding mode approach which
provides fast and finite convergence. The extensive study has been performed for variation of set point, time delay, time
constant and tuning parameters. The simulation results of proposed scheme gives superior performance compared with
classical design techniques of cascade control system.
