Design And Simulation of Quadcopter Altitude Control System using MATLAB and Flight Gear
Abstract
Abstract- In this paper we deal with design and simulation of altitude control algorithm for Quadcopter develop on MATLAB/SIMULINK. After design of the Simulink model the validation of the model is done through the
Flight Gear. In this platform we are using model-based design and development ideas. Hear we can see how the control design works in flight-gear. As we can see drones were deployed for domestic applications such as path planning of the area, tracking of the filed survey, monitoring flood affected areas and recording video footage, In this applications altitude plays an important role with respective to the environment. Simulation accelerates physical deployment, thus the beginner and developer can use MATLAB/SIMULINK to design low level controllers directly (such as position controller, altitude controller), and high-level controllers (such as autonomous flight, decision making).
The behavior of the Quadcopter can be checked at the run time in the flight-simulator, By interfacing SIMULINK with Flight-Gear. The modeling and simulation can save time and money as there is no need of any hardware design and crash of the hardware components. As Simulink and flight-simulator platforms are used to build a rapid Quadcopter control designs.
