Paper Title
MTD Design and Implementation using Short Coherent Processing Interval Phase Trace
Abstract
Moving target detectors were implemented using fast Fourier transforms or finite impulse response filters. The two methods need long coherent processing intervals to achieve high Doppler resolution. Doppler estimation delay time, complexity, and utilized resources on hardware boards are relatively high. Also, choosing the threshold level in fast Fourier transform method needs optimizing algorithms. lower number of required intervals, resources on hardware boards reduction and design simplicity can be achieved by tracing the phase change of radar returns at every range cell. This work represents the design, the simulation and the implementation of moving target detectors using fast Fourier transform algorithms, finite impulse response filters and phase tracing.
