Paper Title
GPS Antennae for Satellite Application
Abstract
This paper presents an L1-band (1575.42MHz), circularly polarized GPS (Global positioning system) antennae
for nanosatellite Satellite Based Automatic- Identification System (SB-AIS) application. The proposed receiver patch
antennae are designed using different methods which receive GPS signals from the GPS satellites to track the position of the
AIS satellite. A minimum of three to four satellites is required to determine the location of the satellite. These microstrip
patch antennae are simulated using HFSSV.18 software, which satisfies all the standard requirements such as good
impedance matching, miniaturization, required bandwidth and beam width of the satellite.
