Multi-Objective Optimization of Demand Side Management in the Presence of DG and Demand Response
Abstract
In this study, the combination of multi-objective particle swarm optimization and fuzzy decision-making
method is utilized to find the best schedule for demand side management. The distribution system is considered in the
presence of multi distributed generation (renewable and nonrenewable) and demand response. Economic and environmental
indices are evaluated during the optimization. For better evaluation the results, the daily performance of grid and DG is
optimized with and without consideration of demand response. Finally, the proposed algorithm is implemented on test
distribution system. The obtained numerical results indicate the impact of demand side management on improving the
economic and environmental indices of distribution system.
