Paper Title - Reactive Power Management using TSC-TCR
Day by day power systems are becoming more complex to operate and system is becoming less secure for riding through major outages. As the loads connected to the system are either inductive or capacitive in nature. When heavy inductive load is connected to system it causes lagging power factor and during light load condition due to shunt capacitance present causes a Ferranti effect and causing leading power factor both the condition imbalances reactive power. In order to attenuate such issue this paper presents the concept of hybrid model of TSC-TCR with control strategy in MATLAB environment for efficient management of reactive power.
