Implemetation of Novel Flywheel Model for Electromagnetic Aircraft Launching System using Simulink- Matlab
The cluster of investigation has been conceded out for the advancement of the electromagnetic aircraft system
(EMALS) in last decade. During the broad study it was observed that EMALS system is found effective thereby reducing the
weight of the system. The basic module for the EMALS system is implemented in this paper. The storage system based on
flywheels was found more suitable over other present systems. Authors have presented the simulation and the results of the
high-speed flywheel power module (FPoM) suitable for the aircraft launching. The module implemented with the
synchronous motor while, torque and speed variations are studied to meet the requirement of the aircraft system.
