Paper Title
Design of Battery Thermal Management System of Electric Vehicle for Indian Scenario

Abstract
Abstract - This work documents the design of a battery thermal management system for an electric vehicle in which a side plate liquid cooling system was designed for a 400V Li-ion battery pack along with vehicle dynamics and battery model. Then, a thermal simulation was performed using Computational Fluid Dynamics followed by one-dimensional heat transfer modelling using Simulink. This model also consists of design of heater, pump and evaporator to determine the total energy consumption of BTMS. The results indicate that the battery temperature is maintained in between 20-30 °𝐶 for various driving profiles with maximum energy consumption of 0.3% of total energy.
