Paper Title
Statistical Analysis for Semiconductor Optical Amplifier for 16×10Gbps and 8×10Gbps DWDM Transmission Systems having In-line Compensating Fiber

Abstract
Optical communication system have undoubtedly revolutionized the satellite communication system. Such networks have become popular not just because of the higher data rate performances but also because of the higher bandwidth allotment and comparatively less attenuation over the long-haul channels. In the proposed optical research the DWDM network with 16-channels is to be compared with 8-channels network for communication using the Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (SOA). The amplifier was studied with an In-line Compensation technique for a 84 kilometer network. The performance evaluated was studied on the basis of BER (bit error rate), Q-factor (Quality factor) and eye-opening. Keywords - Bit Error Rate, Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing, Dispersion Compensation Fiber, Inline Amplifier and Semiconductor Optical Amplifier.
