Paper Title
Load Flow Analysis of Radial Distribution Network using Backward Forward Sweep Method

Abstract
The paper presents a BFS method to analyze the power flowing in radial distribution network. Distribution network holds a very important position in the power system networks since it is the pivot point of link between substation and consumer. An effective distribution system is the key to meet the rising demand of residential, manufacturing and business loads. The power flow analysis of radial distribution system is extremely important for successful planning of load transfer. Since distribution system is radial in nature having high R/X ratio, the load flow method become complicated. Methods like newton-raphson and fast decoupled are unsuccessful in the distribution networks. The method implemented does a load flow study using BFS method, which is the most successful method for power-flow analysis of the radial distribution system. Voltage magnitude for each node is calculated using this method. IEEE 12 and 33 bus radial distribution system are examined by this method and satisfactory results are obtained and observed using MATLAB.
