Effect of Number of Silar Cycles on Cyclic Voltammetric Performance of PPy:Coo(OH) Flexible Hybrid Electrodes Prepared using Pyrrole and Co(NO3)2

Abstract
Present study explains potentiodynamic cyclic voltammetric performance of PPy:CoO(OH) flexible hybrid electrodes (FHE) by merely varying the number of SILAR cycles. 30 wt % H2O2 as anionic source (oxidizer) and acidic solutions of 0.1M pyrrole and 0.1M Co(NO)3 as cationic sources were used via aqueous route. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of the prepared FHEs shows the regions without peak due to amorphous PPy and a peak corresponding to the highly oriented rhomohedral CoO(OH) formed during the synthesis reactions. The characteristic peak at wavenumber 1558 cm-1 in FTIR spectrum confirms the presence of PPy. The energy dispersive X-ray analysis shows the existence of C, N, O, and Co in the FHE. Electrochemical measurements manifests mixed capacitive behavior of FHEs. The specific capacitance values increases with increase in SILAR cycles. The observed maximum specific capacitance for 120 SILAR cycles was 377.94 F g-1 at the potential scan rate of 5 mV s-1 in 0.5 M H2SO4 Keywords - PPy-CoO (OH), hybrid, Cyclic Voltammetery; SILAR, Supercapacitor.
