Paper Title
Incorporation of Battery Storage in Renewable Energy Sources

Abstract
Driven by economic, environmental, technological, and sometimes political progress, renewable energy has been installed at unprecedented rates in recent years. This is particularly true for variable renewable energy sources like wind and solar energy. In terms of numbers, between 2006 and 2012, solar energy and wind energy experienced an annual capacity growth rate worldwide of 190% and 40% respectively. This trend has continued from 2012 to 2017 as well and the growth in the variable renewable energy is expected to continue in the future. Despite the obvious advantages of renewable energy, it presents important drawbacks, such as the discontinuity of generation, as most renewable energy resources depend on the climate, which is why their use requires complex design, planning and control optimization methods. However, there are numerous methods of optimization methods that have been applied to the renewable and sustainable energy field. This paper discusses one of these methods, which is battery storage. Keywords – Renewable Energy, Energy Generation Mechanism, Wind Energy, Solar Energy, Battery Storage.
